Each year the Center for Global Justice hosts two symposia for visitors to San Miguel. The winter symposium is held during the months of January, February and March and the summer symposium is held during July and August. Both Symposia are geared towards foreign visitors to San Miguel as a educational resources and a way to interact with the progressive community in San Miguel. The symposia consist of panel discussions, films, book reviews, and visiting guest lectures about a variety of topics that touch on both US and Mexican politics and culture. The symposia are a great way to meet other like-minded folks, get informed about current politics and engage in lively discussion.
As a visitor or longtime resident of San Miguel these series will entice your intellectual side and get your creative political juices flowing. If you think you might be a good panel participant or know someone who would and that will be in the San Miguel area, or if you are interested in volunteering please contact Cliff Durand at cliff[at]globaljusticecenter.org and see how you can get involved.
